This essay addresses the recent reform of the composition of the High Council of the Judiciary and the consequent future possible adjustments to the institution's internal regulations in order to ensure the efficient fulfilment of its functions, since the number of members has been increased from 24 to 30. Moreover, this paper examines the attempts to correct and limit the dysfunctional phenomena related to the distortion of the role of the associations within the judiciary and its effects on the activities of the Council.
