Introduzione. Le Circolari di drafting, vent’anni dopo: bilancio e prospettive di aggiornamento

This article is an introduction to a group of essays published in the current issue. It aims at describing the scope and the main outcomes of the research concerning the guidelines on legislative drafting, issued in Italy in 2001 by the President of the Camera dei deputati, the President of the Senato della Repubblica and the President of the Council of ministers. The research shows that guidelines have worked well so far but they need to be updated and completed.
